ArcGIS for AutoCAD was created for the purpose of having the CAD professional become a direct participant in the GIS process without altering their familiar CAD workflows. This includes publishing, editing, and viewing of GIS data directly from within the Autodesk CAD desktop. That statement is a simplified view of the AFA functionality, but as you dig deeper the power, ease-of-use, and seamless integration become apparent. The core functionality includes adding, deleting, or modifying the GIS features and their attributes from within the CAD environment. The value of AFA goes beyond the powerful ability to connect to, publish, and update GIS data. It also incorporates many built-in tools to streamline processes like assigning an Esri coordinate system, adding base imagery, setting work area boundaries, labeling, attribution, assigning blocks, built-in GIS schema templates, and two-way synchronization of the CAD and GIS environments.


These different paradigms have caused misunderstandings and resistance in collaboration between CAD and GIS users for many years. It was an ideological difference that needed to be overcome for the CAD and GIS worlds to come together. ArcGIS for AutoCAD solves this issue and allows the CAD user to continue to use familiar CAD tools while working with GIS data and without disrupting any of their CAD workflows or viewpoints on data. Now GIS data can be the source of truth for CAD data, and likewise CAD data can be published as meaningful GIS data.


We have recently released a new next-gen plugin - the Jenkins JFrog Plugin. The new plugin can be installed and used side by side with the Jenkins Artifactory plugin. If you're already using the Artifactory Plugin, we recommend also installing the new JFrog Plugin, and gradually migrating your jobs from the old plugin to the new one. You can also have your existing jobs use the two plugins. The old plugin will continue to be supported, however new functionality will most likely make it into the new plugin only.


We want to ensure that the Jenkins plugin continues receiving new functionality and improvements. that are added very frequently to JFrog CLI. JFrog CLI already includes significantly more features than the Jenkins Artifactory Plugin. The new JFrog plugin will be receiving these updates automatically.


Unlike the old plugin, the new plugin completely relies on JFrog CLI, and serves as a wrapper for it. This means that the APIs you'll be using in your Pipeline jobs look very similar to JFrog CLI commands. The new plugin also does not support UI based Jenkins jobs, such as Free-Style jobs. It supports Pipeline jobs only.


This integration allows your build jobs to deploy artifacts and resolve dependencies to and from Artifactory, and then have them linked to the build job that created them. The plugin includes a vast collection of features, including a rich pipeline API library and release management for Maven and Gradle builds with Staging and Promotion.


The plugin is used in the same way as the other Freestyle builds, but under "Deploy artifacts to Artifactory" you will find a mandatory *Combination Matches *field where you can enter the specific matrix combinations to which the plugin will deploy the artifacts.


The Jenkins plugin may be used in conjunction with the Jenkins JIRA plugin to record the build's affected issues, and include those issues in the Build Info descriptor inside Artifactory and as searchable properties on deployed artifacts.


It is possible to collect under a build deployed to Artifactory all JIRA issues affected by this build as well as previous builds. This allows you, for example, to see all issues between the previous release to the current build, and if the build is a new release build - to see all issues addresses in the new release.To accumulate JIRA issues across builds, check the "Aggregate issues from previous builds" option and configure the last build status the aggregation should begin from. The default last status is "Released" (case insensitive), which means aggregation will begin from the first build after the last "Released" one.


The Jenkins plugin offers a new checkbox for its Maven/Gradle builds 'Enable isolated resolution for downstream builds' which plants a new 'build.root' property that is added to the resolution URL.This property will then be read by the direct children of this build and implanting them in their resolution URLs respectively, thus guaranteeing that the parent artifact resolved is the one that was built prior to the build being run.


The Jenkins Job DSL plugin allows the programmatic creation of jobs using a DSL. Using the Jenkins Job DSL plugin, you can create Jenkins jobs to run Artifactory operations. To learn about the Jenkins Job DSL, see the Job DSL Tutorial.


A HydraCAD version is finished and will be released to work with AutoCAD 2023. That version is available to a limited number of Beta testers. Email beta@hydracad.com and we will get it to you. The release version should be available in a couple of weeks.


The plugin can work with the network versions Enterprise and Enterprise Plus but note that it is not using the network licensing of DraftSight therefore each user will need an individual license.

By default, dragging with the middle or right mouse button will pan the canvas view and scrollingthe mouse wheel will zoom the view in or out. You can change this behavior in the Mouse andTouchpad section of the preferences (seeConfiguration and Customization for details).


Layers in Pcbnew represent physical copper layers on a board, as well as graphical layers used fordefining things such as silkscreen, solder mask, and the board edge. There is always one layerthat is active in the editor. The active layer is drawn on top of other layers and will be thelayer assigned to newly-created objects. The active layer is indicated in the layer selectordrop-down box in the top toolbar and is also highlighted in the appearance panel. To change theactive layer, you can left-click a layer name in the appearance panel, use the drop-down layerselector in the top toolbar, or use a hotkey. Layers can be hidden to simplify the board view.You can hide a layer even if it is the active layer.


Below the list of layers is an expandable panel that contains layer display options. The firstsetting controls how non-active layers are displayed: normal, dimmed, or hidden. The layer displaymode can be used to simplify the view and focus on a single layer. Items on inactive layers cannotbe selected when the non-active layer display mode is "Dim" or "Hide". You can use the hotkeyCtrl+H to cycle through these display modes quickly.


KiCad uses graphical objects on the Edge.Cuts layer to define the board outline. The outlinemust be a continuous (closed) shape, but can be made up of different types of graphical object suchas lines and arcs, or be a single object such as a rectangle or polygon. If no board outline isdefined, or the board outline is invalid, some functions such as the 3D viewer and some design rulechecks will not be functional.


Each violation involves one or more object on the PCB. In the list of violations, the objectsinvolved are listed below the violation. Clicking on the violation in the list view will movethe PCB Editor view so that the affected area is centered. Clicking on one of the objects involvedin a violation will highlight the object.


Right-clicking a violation in the list view will open a context menu with additional actionsincluding excluding the selected violation. Excluded violations are hidden unless theExclusions checkbox is enabled at the bottom of the DRC Control window.
